Volker
Shidoshi-Ho - 4 Dan
Volker Heckt came from American Football to the Bujinkan. Equipped with sufficient force, he now wanted to combine this with effective techniques. His first training he completed in 1994 in Duisburg his hometown and was immediately sure that he had found in Ninjutsu "his" martial art in a Bujinkan Dojo. In 1997 he left his former coach. Thereafter he attended many seminars and met the two English coaches Graham Ramsden and Paul Richardson. He decided to train in England for a while and eventually received his first Dan from Graham. After he had heard of Niko Sensei's Dojo in Duesseldorf, he became a student there. As a trainer, he sets on artless and effective technique in the tradition of classical Ninjutsu: "I love Ninjutsu for its diversity. Our nine schools offer infinite possibilities always new challenges. And despite everything, the basis remains the non plus ultra! Therefore, in my opinion a good education in the basics is extremely important." For himself, Volker uses the training to compensate his everyday life. As a father of two children with a stressful job there is only little time left for training, but that is "why I enjoy every second that I can spend in the dojo and train with my friends. This feeling of happiness cannot be described, you have to experience it. I am glad and proud that I am part of this family."
