Rene Schnelleke

Shidoshi-Ho - 2 Dan

Rene Schnelleke began with judo at the age of 9, where he also collected first championship experience. Later he changed to Taekwon Do, where he also challenged many championships. Besides, he studied other fighting styles such as Kung-Fu, Kick Boxing, Karate, Ju Jutsu and boxing. In 1996, he heard of Sensei Niko´s training and came to the Bujinkan Dojo Duesseldorf. He was thrilled that the techniques and methods differed from what he had learned before. He could use them better and in a more natural way than the martial arts he had previously learned: "The Ninjutsu shows me my strengths and weaknesses, it teaches me to be vigilant in daily life and for me it is a timeless, vibrant and always-present companion." Rene manages to handle the traditional weapons with his heart (evtl. naturaly), and not just to imitate textbooks.

As a coach, he teaches the students the traditional techniques of Ninjutsu in practical terms, and shows how they can implement them quickly and efficiently. Thanks to good historical tradition the Bujinkan gives an authentic glimpse into the battlefield art of the ninjas and Samurais. To Rene it is important to learn from the Martial Art, and to strive, following the path of peace and humanity, non-fighting as his highest personal aim
