Oliver
Shidoshi-Ho - 2 Dan
At the age of 10 Oliver Tomic started exploring the martial arts’ universe. He gained first experience in Judo as well as Ju-Jutsu, Kickboxing, Tae-Kwon-Do, and Shaolin Kung-Fu. In 1997, reading a book on the Ninja, Oliver became interested in the Ninja fighting art. This was the starting point for substantial changes in both, his Budo career as well as his entire life. Excited about this new martial art he decided to enhance his knowledge of Ninjutsu and therefore, he joined Bujinkan classes under the supervision of Shihan Wedekind. Here he studied the basics of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.
In the course of his sports studies at the German Sports University in Cologne and the respective proximity to Düsseldorf he joined the Bujinkan Dojo Düsseldorf and became student of Shihan Nikolaos Stefanidis. He enjoyed the authentic and down-to-earth Ninjutsu that has been taught here. He particularly liked the way of Niko Stefanidis who does not simply teach Bujinkan but really lives the way of a Ninja. That corresponded exactly to his conception of the "Way of the Warrior" and the dedication for martial arts in every day’s life. For Oliver, Ninjutsu is not just a martial art but rather a way of life that positively affects him at all times. With the establishment of his own Dojo in Cologne a great dream has come true for him.
